Where the charge goes

Use the charging and discharging observations. A short paragraph is enough.

A capacitor is placed in a battery-and-bulb circuit. The bulbs flash and go out. Then the battery is replaced with a wire and the switch is closed again. The bulbs flash once more. Explain where the charge was while the capacitor sat charged, and why that charge did not travel through the capacitor.

Name the plates and the insulator. Say why a flash after the battery is gone is evidence of storage.
