Geometry Foundations Exam Part One — Study 4/4

Module 01 — Geometry Foundations

The big idea Finish the Part One review by matching proof statements to their reasons, then take the 15-question multiple-choice practice.

Choose the proof reason

A geometry theorem creates a relationship. Substitution replaces something with a known equal value. A Property of Equality performs the same operation on both sides. Transitive links A to B and B to C. The definition of congruent angles changes equal measures into congruent angles.

Watch the symbols: equal measures use =. Congruent angles use ≅.
A geometry proof with statements and reasons
Read the new statement and identify the one move that produced it.

Prove vertical angles

If the problem asks you to prove the Vertical Angles Theorem, do not cite that theorem. Build the proof from two linear pairs.

Two intersecting lines forming angles 1 through 4
Both linear pairs total 180 degrees and share angle 2.

Part One game plan

For each multiple-choice question: 1. name the topic; 2. point to the diagram clue or proof move; 3. state the rule; 4. solve only if math is needed; 5. choose the answer that matches your reasoning.

Corresponding angles marked on parallel lines
Name the position first; then choose the theorem.

Check Part 4

After this four-question check, use the final card to take the complete practice exams.

1 / 5 0 correct

Finish with the Part One practice

Take the 15-question Part One practice exam. Retry every miss after reading its explanation. When you are ready, take the real Part One assessment in Canvas.

Three completed inscribed polygon constructions
Four Part One study sessions first, practice second, Canvas Part One last.
