WACHE School · IMPACT Drop Off Program
IMPACT conduct essentials
The attendance, campus, preparedness, and behavior expectations every IMPACT student and parent must acknowledge.
Before each school day
Four things to remember
Start on time
Announcements and prayer begin at 9:00 a.m. for first-hour students. Classes begin at 9:20, 10:25, 12:05, and 1:10.
Wear the name tag
Keep the current WACHE name tag clearly visible throughout the school day. A new tag is available each week in the family folder.
Stay on campus at lunch
Bring lunch when attending during the lunch period. IMPACT students may not leave campus during lunch.
Leave after the last class
Students must be picked up or leave campus as soon as their classes are finished.
Student responsibilities
Core expectations
Arrive ready and avoid a missed class
A student who arrives 10 minutes late or more will remain with leadership in the lobby instead of entering and disrupting the class.
- Plan to arrive before the scheduled class time, including the 9:00 a.m. announcements and prayer when attending first hour.
- Bring the required WACHE supplies: paper, pen or pencil, map pencils, a planning calendar, and a good attitude.
- Come prepared for each class and bring any additional materials the teacher requires.
Keep the phone silent and put away
Cell phone use is prohibited during the hours a student participates in WACHE School.
- Turn the phone off or silence it before the school day begins.
- Keep the phone put away rather than visible or in use during classes, lunch, or other WACHE activities.
Follow the hands-off, bully-free standard
Students must respect one another. Pushing, shoving, teasing, rude gestures, bullying, and disrespect are not tolerated.
- Treat everyone the way you would like to be treated.
- Alert the WACHE School Director when a conflict arises.
- Leadership will address any form of bullying immediately.
Honor the drop-off privilege
Participation in the IMPACT Drop Off Program is a privilege, and continued eligibility depends on following the WACHE School Handbook and this code.
- The student and parent are both expected to read and acknowledge the code of conduct.
- Regular disruptive behavior can end a student’s eligibility after the stated consequences have been followed without improvement.
Accountability
Three-step consequence process
First offense
Verbal warning.
Second offense
Time away from class, and the parent is notified.
Third offense
The student spends the remaining class time with school leadership, and the parent is notified immediately.
Continued disruption
If disruptive behavior continues regularly after the consequence process produces no change, the student may be asked to leave and may no longer participate in WACHE School.
Student and parent acknowledgment
Participation depends on following the code
The student agrees to follow the WACHE Code of Conduct. The parent acknowledges that failure to do so can end the student’s eligibility for the IMPACT program.
